Alchemy Estates seeks estate vineyards throughout the Napa Valley for the highest quality grapes. Everyone on our team, from vineyard to cellar, is banded together in the desire to create wines that pay homage to all these remarkable appellations with a singular expression.

Harvest & winemaking

Bud-break occurred on par in 2019 due to warm summer and mild finish to the season. The long, warm summer saw very few extreme heat events, with foggy mornings setting the stage for vibrant and expressive wines. The clusters were picked during the early morning hours before sunrise, hand sorted, and de-stemmed to tank, for a two day cold soak before fermentation took place. Then, the wine was pumped to 45% new tight grained French oak barrels, and 65% second use. The entire lot was aged for 19 months.
